Godello is a white grape found in northwestern Spain, in particular Galicia. The Gouveio found in northern Portugal is thought to be the same grape variety.

Godello is capable of producing high quality white wines from DOs Valdeorras and Bierzo. The wines tend to have aromas that are reminiscent of those found in the variety Albariño. These include apple, peach, pineapple, apricot, anise and slight floral notes.
