Durif

Durif or Petite Syrah is a variety of red wine grape primarily grown in Australia, France and California. Although not particularly well regarded in its native Rhone Valley, excellent wines are being produced in Australia. Especially Rutherglen, in Northern Victoria where it has been adopted and the grape is ideal for the warm dry climate. It produces dark big, bold, juicy wines with high tannin and aromas of dark fruit.
