Chambourcin is a French-American hybrid grape variety, producing red wine. It was developed during the 1960's, to provide a variety with higher disease and pest resistance. It is full flavoured, fruity and deep in colour. In Australia it is best known from the Hunter Valley where it is produced as a table wine and sparkling.
