A very special rhum for those who appreciate great old spirits!
A rhum agricole made of fermented and distilled pure cane sugar juice which is then aged for 15 years in American oak barrels.
Dark amber with a strong aromatic nose revealing candied orange and a palette marked by dried prunes and fruits with a hint of caramel.
The finish is long with hints of tobacco and leather.
This is not necessarily a Les Clos of finesse but the sheer depth of material and impeccable balance suggest that this will be a great example in time. 94/2016+' Allen Meadows (Burghound)
A discreet nose of white flower, citrus peel and tidal pool complements to perfection the almost painfully intense, serious and beautifully detailed.
Flavors that seem to etch themselves into your palate, all wrapped in a stony and massively long finish.
This is a powerful example of Vaudr but it does not lack for elegance either. 93/2016+' Allen Meadows (Burghound)
A discreet hint of sulfur is also present here as well but does not significantly detract from the wonderfully classic and densely fruited Chablis nose.
Rich, full and overtly muscular flavors that possess superb intensity, particularly on the focused, long and mineral-infused finish where a saline note surfaces.
Top gold medal winner at the 1997 Sydney Wine Show.

Deep purple-red; a wonderfully fragrant, powerful and intense aroma proclaiming Cabernet Sauvignon at the height of its youthful power.
A formidable palate, crammed with fruit and oak, but with tannins to lose (as the Californians are fond of saying). Needs years to begin to give of its best but will sweep all before it before it is finished in its show career.
