Very similar to the standard release, except that the intensity is even more pronounced, the length likewise; an inherent elegance despite all the power; oak and tannins just where they should be.

Much cooler on the nose than the Referts, offering lemon, lime and white flowers.
Higher in pitch in the mouth as well, and considerably tighter today, with a strong floral quality contributing to the impression of energy. This is hiding its richness today but may be even longer on the aftertaste than the Referts.

Ripe apricot on the nose
Sweet and lush but sappy, with terrific concentration to the flavors of stone fruits, hazelnut and acacia flower. Very ripe grapes here, but firm acidity and good finishing minerality confer tension and elegance to the middle palate. Finishes very long, with a lingering impression of sucrosite I was surprised to be told that this wonderfully rich wine has just 13.2% alcohol. ST
The Grand Cru Furstentum vineyard is one of the greatest terroirs for Gewurztraminer in all of Alsace.
This is Gewurztraminer of the very highest expression, with striking floral notes: gardenia and jasmine along with grapefruit, brown spice and mixed peel aromas.
This Gewurz is just off-dry and very juicy, delivering lightly honeyed flavors of patisserie apple, candied grapefruit peel, lychee and pineapple. This is mouthwatering and creamy throughout, with a lightly smoked finish.
