Aristocratic, fragrant, intensely perfumed, voluptuous, sweet strawberry/plum richness, anise, beetroot, silky in texture, richness, round, soft and mouthfilling to the end.

OAKRIDGE 864 PINOT NOIR 2008

"Its structured, earthen, tastes of rhubarb and dry black cherry and is bell-bright in its appearance. Theres some toasty, creamy oak here but the wine is fast soaking it up - I noticed it quite a bit at first, but after two hours in the decanter it had mostly been consumed. Im impressed by this wine. Lifted raspberry gives way to ripe plum, pomegranate, and beetroot.
The palate is full soft and rich loaded with plum, black cherry, forest floor and hints of earth. The tannins are fine and silky giving a satiny texture and a long savoury finish.

Will cellar for 10+ years under optimal cellar conditions.
Aromas of oatmeal, stone-fruit, spice & nuts. Barrell aromas are well integrated.
The palate is rich, creamy and long, underpinned by powerful phenolics which the winery believes are the most important factor for longevity of white wine.
