San Marzano from the region Puglia has just picked up a Gold at the NZ International Wine Show 2010 and a Blue Gold & Top 100 Sydney International Wine Show 2010. Very deep purple red, wide and complex on the notes with a touch of spices and cherry jam on the palate. This wine needs to be decanted for couple of hours to get maximum flavours. If you enjoy Italian Reds then try San Marzano!!
